In 2012, the GEDC conference was held under the flagship of the first World Engineering Education Forum. This event focused on sustainable development and solving the marginalized sectors’ needs and resource distribution while promoting social inclusion. This forum, which took place for the first time ever in Argentina, brought together the biggest and most important international organizations devoted to engineering education. These discussions preceeded the identification of policies and strategies that contribute to sustainable development and social inclusion in education.
