The 2014 event became the first time the conference, held biennially with the International Federation for Engineering Education Societies, carried the names for both organizations’ flagship conferences. This event was also held in parallel with the annual conferences of the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy, Student Platform for Engineering Education Development, in addition to other workshops and meetings. This year, the GEDC Conference Program Committee decided to devote two sessions to an increasingly important topic for engineering deans: engineering education’s relationship with industry.
