Dr. Hany El Kadi is the Dean of the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining Zayed University in 2018, he has been at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in the United Arab Emirates for twenty years. He has served as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department for 5 years, Associate Dean of the College of Engineering for 11 years and Interim Vice-Provost for Undergraduate Affairs & Instruction for 2 years. Dr. El Kadi received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in Canada and received his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alexandria in Egypt. He has also served as a faculty member at Winona State University, MN, USA and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in AZ, USA.

Dr. El Kadi’s research is in the area of fatigue and fracture of composite materials, artificial neural networks and engineering education.
