Jorge Esteban Eterovic is the Dean of the Department of Engineering and Technological Research and Senior Counsellor at the National University of La Matanza in Argentina. He is also a Senior Professor and Postgraduate Professor at the National University of La Matanza. Besides, he is a Member of the Academic Committee of the Master in Information Systems Management of the University of Salvador and the Master in Health Informatics of the University Institute of the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires.  

He started his professional career at the National Commission of Space Research in the field of finite element design of aerospace structures. Later he worked in the area of computer science in the Institute of Scientific and Technical Research of the Armed Forces.  

He is a Mechanical Engineer, Specialist in Cryptography and Computer Security and MBA in Direction of Information Systems. He has attended several postgraduate seminars related to his profession and education.

He is a Category II Researcher of the Teacher and Researcher Incentive Program of the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he is the Director of several research projects.  

He has specialized in the following areas of interest: Cryptography and Computer Security; Information Security Management; IT Risk Analysis and Management; Digital Signature; Information Systems Audit; Information Systems Management.  

Regarding postgraduate careers, he carried out various research projects, as well as technological development and engineering education projects and consulting programs.  

He has attended numerous congresses and seminars as a speaker; written books, publications and chapters in books; directed master’s degrees and played leading roles in diverse academic committees.

Currently, his main interest is engineering education, innovation and entrepreneurship, its articulation with technological development and the transfer of knowledge to the social and productive environment of the Argentine Republic.
