The University of Namibia (UNAM), through the School of Engineering and the Built Environment, is proud to host the Biennial UNAM International Engineering Conference (UNAM IEC-2026) on 22–23 October 2026 in Ongwediva, Namibia. This hybrid conference brings together academics, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and students from around the world to exchange ideas, showcase innovative research, and foster collaborations that address today’s most pressing engineering challenges.
Centered on the theme “Sustainable and Resilient Engineering Systems,” the conference will explore emerging advances across a wide range of disciplines, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, renewable energy systems, smart manufacturing, climate-resilient infrastructure, environmental engineering, IoT and embedded systems, sustainable materials, and engineering education. Through keynote presentations, technical sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, participants will engage in meaningful discussions that inspire innovation and drive sustainable development.
Building on the success of the inaugural UNAM IEC-2024, the conference continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier international platform for engineering research and knowledge exchange. Selected papers from previous editions have been published in reputable, SCOPUS-indexed journals, reflecting the conference’s commitment to academic excellence and global impact.
