Prof. Dr. Udaykumar Anna Dabade completed his primary education from ZP School Inam Dhamani. SSC from Patwardhan Highschool and HS from Sangli Highschool Sangli. He is completed his B.E. (Mechanical) from WCE in 1994, Sangli, M. Tech. and Ph.D,  IIT, Bombay.

Currently working as officiating Director at WCE Sangli from March 2023. His total experience in educational society is 28 years. He has handled many duties and responsibilities such as Professor in Mechanical Engineering, HOD for Mechanical department, member secretary, IQAC, Dean (Student welfare) at WCE, Sangli. Also he has industrial experience of two and half years.

He was appointed by Ministry of Education (GoI) as a State Project Administrator (SPA) on deputation for SPIU Rajasthan state at Jaipur under TEQIP project for improvement in technical education at 12 engineering institutes in Rajasthan state during April 2019 to July 2021.

He received about 70 + Lakhs funds from DST, AICTE and UGC for research and travel grants. He is awardee of DST Young scientist award. He has travelled for different countries like Singapore, China, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, France, Portugal for conferences and research paper publications. In his credit he has google scholar citations of 1512, h-index is 18 and i10 index is 21 (as on 15th Sep. 2024).

He has Successfully Guided 5 Ph. D research scholars (3 are in progress) and 76 M. Tech. dissertations. He evaluated 9 Ph. D thesis and 30+ M. Tech. dissertations. He has 4 granted patents in his credits and 2 are in progress. Published and edited 5 books. Published 32 papers in International Journals 43 papers in International Conferences, 3 Papers in National Journals and 71 Papers in National Conferences. He had organised 25+ Training program / FDP/ STP, workshops. Attended and delivered 50 + experts lectures at various workshops, conferences etc.

He is working as reviewer for peer reviewed journals such as JMPT, IJMTDR, Precision Engineering, Materials Today, etc. Also working as expert on various committees of AICTE, DTE, UGC, etc. He also has professional membership of ISTE, ITPE, IIIE, IACSIT, IET, ASME, etc.
