Dr. Sathish Kannan joined AMITY University Dubai as the Dean of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design in 2023. Prior to joining AMITY, Dr. Kannan was an engineering program manager at Rolls-Royce plc (UK). He led global program teams responsible for the design and manufacture of aerospace propulsion-related products in support of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380/A350 XWB fleet. Following this, he was appointed as an academic faculty and internship coordinator at American University of Sharjah. After completion of his doctoral studies at University of New Brunswick, Dr. Kannan served as an Industrial post-doctoral fellow at the University of Cambridge UK, A senior fellow of the Royal Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), he is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a Highly Qualified Personnel of AUTO21′ Networks of Centers of Excellence Canada.
