Dr. Okonigene Robert Ehimen is the current Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria. He is a professor of Communication Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has a doctorate degree (Ph.D) in Communication Engineering. He obtained his master’s degree (M.ENG (Hons)) in Electronics Engineering (1992) and Bachelor’s degree (B.ENG (Hons)) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (1989) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi. He is a registered Engineer with COREN. His research interest includes Wireless Communication Systems (Signal & Data Processing, Methodology, Simulation and Techniques), Cloud Computing and Converged Networks Analysis & Security, TCP/IP analysis, IT/ICT, Engineering Research Biometrics and Data Mining, Radiation in Mobile Networks. Among the current ongoing studies are (i) data mining and geospatial modeling to evaluate and strengthen national security; (ii) the study of the links between the characteristics of human body radiated heat and biometrics for security purpose. He got grant from Education Trust Fund Research Projects Intervention to develop and implement a communications and computer networking multipurpose systems learning module. Many of his colleagues and immediate community regard Dr. Robert Okonigene as a leading authority and much-sought-after researcher on career development and entrepreneurship. His enthusiasm and dedication to duty helps him to quickly connect with people and make an impact on them to take action. Robert has over twenty-six years of experience in career services including leadership positions at ATBU Bauchi and AAU Ekpoma. He is the recipient of many awards including the Global Lifetime Achievers International Gold Award (GLAIGA 2012), conferred on him by the Nigerian Topleaders International Magazine. He has held several positions and responsibilities within and outside the University. These include:

Maintenance of hospital equipment at Institute of Health, Ahmadu Bello University, Teaching Hospital, Instrument Engineering Department, Tudun Wada Zaira, Kaduna State. Laboratory Supervisor, Department of Physics, ATBU, Bauchi, and also Conducted & Supervised Laboratory Experiments in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Programme. Sub Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology (1999) and Acting Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (September 2004 to October 2007 and October 2011 to November 2013). Chairperson for the one year Foundation Programme in Engineering (1999). Consultant to Shell petroleum Warri to prepare Maintenance Job Routine (MJR) for the Department of Electrical Engineering Workshop (Contract ended Sept 2003). Sabbatical leave placement at Covenant University, Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Canaan land, Otta, Ogun State. He was appointed External Examiner to Computer Science Programme, Faculty Of Agriculture, Science and Technology North-West University, Mafikeng Campus, South Africa, since November 2012. He has also examined Ph.D thesis in Anna University, Chennai, India.

Dr. R. E. Okonigene has supervised several master’s degree dissertation and Ph.D thesis in engineering and computer science. He has attended and presented papers in numerous conferences outside the country. He has over forty-five scholarly published articles in reputable journals and conference proceedings. Dr. R. E. Okonigene is married with six children.
