Saranjit Singh has spent more than three decades in teaching, research, corporate, industry engagements, training and placements, and career augmentation activities in institutions such as the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University and the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra in Ranchi. He has a PhD in mechanical (production) engineering from BIT Mesra, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the same subject from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in Varanasi and Savitribai Phule Pune University respectively. He has been associated with KIIT University for the past 16 years and has served as Pro Vice-Chancellor, Director, Dean and Professor.

Dr Singh’s teaching and research interests include sustainable production, environmentally benign manufacturing, cleantech, competitive manufacturing strategies and material processing tech. He has published three books on material processing technologies and is a Fellow of numerous engineering societies.
