Dr. Rupesh Vasani is working as the Vice Chancellor of Swaminarayan University, Kalol, Gandhinagar, Inda. and served as Ex-Executive Committee Member of global Engg. Dean Council, USA also. He is presently Academic Council member of Gujarat Technological University. Dr. Vasani has been designated as Professor Emeritus from European International University, Paris, France. Dr. Vasani is an Ex-member of Board of Governance of Gujarat Technological University, Gujarat, India. He is also member of various International professional societies. He has been included in-Volume XVII 2019 of ‘Marquis Who’s Who’ in Science & Engineering of America.

He achieved his first Doctorate from the prominent L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, India. And also succeeded studies Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship, Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relationship and personal Management and thrived towards his Second Doctorate in Port Management from KSV University, Gujarat, India. He has been honoured with Honorary Doctorate of Science in Technology and management by common wealth university.

He had total 32 years of Academic and Industrial Experience.

In his illustrious career he compiled total 272 patents out of which 101 and 162 were filed in a single day, leading to a world record. He has also penned 10 textbooks. He was awarded with Gurudhronaacharya Award, For his supreme marshalling skills as the best Principal, he was bestowed with Guruvandana Award, by his Excellency Governor of Gujarat and awards from Minister of Education and Mayor Ahmedabad followed. The chronicle of his leadership bequeathed him with awards like, Prestigiious Hari Om Ashram Award of Gujarat Univesity which was honoured by The Then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, Best ISTE Teacher Award-Gujarat State, Divya Bhaskar Jal Star Award, Pedagogical Innovation Award by GTU.
