Dr. Rupesh Vasani is Board of Governance of Gujarat Technological University, Gujarat, India as well as Honorary Dean of Engineering and also is in good turn as the Director & Principal of SAL Education Campus, Gujarat, India. He is also the Executive Committee member of ISTE India, and also the member of GWSSB and various professional, managing and governing bodies & functionaries.
He achieved his Majors & first Doctorate from the prominent L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, Gujarat University, India. Further, he was persistent with his studies cohered with his work and succeeded Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship, Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relationship and personal Management and thrived towards his Second Doctorate in Port Management from distinguished KSV University, Gujarat, India. He has been honored with Honorary Doctorate of Science (DSc)in Technology and management by commonwealth university, Tonga for which convocation was held in Malaysia.
He gave a head start to his engineering career by working at a firstborn position in an Industry.In order to quench his keenness towards holistic academic elevation of the society, he joined academia 28 years henceforward.
In his illustrious career he compiled 110 patents out of which 101 were filed in a single day, leading to a world record.He has also penned 10 Textbooks. For his outstanding contribution in Education for the society, he was awarded with Gurudhronaacharya Award, one of the most significant awards in academics. For his supreme marshalling skills as the best Principal, he was bestowed with Guruvandana Award, by his Excellency Dr. O. P. Kohli, Governor of Gujarat and awards from Mr.Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Minister of Education and Mrs. Minaxi Patel, Mayor Ahmedabad followed.The chronicle of his leadership bequeathed him with awards like, Hari Om Ashram Award,Best ISTE Teacher Award – Gujarat State, DivyaBhaskar Jal Star Award, Pedagogical Innovation Award by GTU Innovation Council for consecutive four years. These also included the most valued award of state -The Gujarat Ratna by All India Technical & Management Council and many more.
